The City Hall

Some call it "The pride of Norway", some others just "aggressively ugly". However described, you are supposed to know it, if there is a glimmer of interest and knowledge of Norway. The City Hall is located in Pipervika in central downtown Oslo, and it is probably the best known of all sights. It is also the place where Nobel prize for peace is given to the winner on 10th of December each year.

  2. It's imposing, to say the least.

Love your night shots! The one of the opera is fabulous.

Wishing you all the best for 2009.

  3. I have to admit it seems a pretty ugly building to me - rather too austere.

Looking forward to seeing more of Oslo though.

  5. I'd have to say I prefer the Stockholm City Hall, but it's still a quality night photo.
